Why I built this
90 kg. 5'7". Sitting all day.
Something had to change.
I'm a software developer working from home in Bangalore. Pure vegetarian. South Indian. And completely sedentary. I sit through the day. I barely walk. I was tired — of my weight, my energy, my routine.
I needed something more than a step counter telling me to hit 10K. I needed a reason to walk. So I gave myself one.
I mapped a route across 14 sacred Shiva temples — from my home in Bangalore to Kashi, Srisailam, Chidambaram, and back. 7,080 kilometres. About 98 lakh steps.
I can't physically go to all of them. But I can walk — every day, at home, in the park — and watch myself move across India, one step at a time.
FarWalk is the app I built for that journey. And now, it's yours to walk too.
