The problem

10,000 steps a day.
Going absolutely nowhere.

Step counters give you a number. Then what? No direction. No destination. No reason to lace up tomorrow. You hit 10K, the confetti fades, and you're still standing in your living room.

FarWalk gives your steps a destination. Every walk — whether it's 2,000 steps around your apartment or 15,000 through the park — moves you forward on a real journey across the map.

How it works

Three steps. One journey.

01

Design your route

Pick any set of destinations on a real map. Sacred temples across India. Capital cities of Europe. Coffee shops across Tokyo. Your route, your rules.

02

Walk in real life

Walk anywhere — your living room, the park, the office corridor. Your phone or Apple Watch counts every step. FarWalk syncs automatically.

03

Watch yourself move

Open the app and see your position on the map. You're 7 km out of Bangalore, heading toward Anantapur. 323 km to go. Keep walking.

Why I built this

90 kg. 5'7". Sitting all day.
Something had to change.

I'm a software developer working from home in Bangalore. Pure vegetarian. South Indian. And completely sedentary. I sit through the day. I barely walk. I was tired — of my weight, my energy, my routine.

I needed something more than a step counter telling me to hit 10K. I needed a reason to walk. So I gave myself one.

I mapped a route across 14 sacred Shiva temples — from my home in Bangalore to Kashi, Srisailam, Chidambaram, and back. 7,080 kilometres. About 98 lakh steps.

I can't physically go to all of them. But I can walk — every day, at home, in the park — and watch myself move across India, one step at a time.

FarWalk is the app I built for that journey. And now, it's yours to walk too.

Where will you walk?
